Well life in London has been good and i have been enjoying myself immensely. I settled down into a nice huge warehouse conversion with 6 other people. Its a lot of people but we have space for ourselves. high 20ft ceilings and double level bedrooms. its nice... and i can use the main area as a studio. Its a great home base and i am bunkering down nicely.
I have slowly been making contacts and getting to know more of the industry. It has been a huge learning experience. I have been assisting a photographer that has been showing me lots and i have use of his studio which is great. Also I have expanded my field into modeling in the hopes of getting more work and network myself more extensively. I am going to be printed in "issue one" magazine and hopefully for some private photographers websites. As for my own photography I have been printed in "Filament" magazine for there second issue and i am working on my next set of images for issue 3. I just shot it last night, and it has a lot of work left to go but i am extremely happy with them and cant wait to see them in print.
Now not everything is all perfect, i ran out of cash, which made me put photography aside and rush to get a job that would pay the bills and give me the ability to stay here. I did find one, a coffee shop that i am not overly happy with, but it pays the bills and gives me a few days off to work on my photos. I am looking for more work in a better coffee shop or bar but preferably as a photo assistant. A long with no cash i have been having huge computer problems and have just fixed most of them, the only thing i have left to fix is being able to run my raw editor capture one. Wish i could just buy a new mac and call it a day but thats not going to happen and now that my laptop is running a lot smoother keeping this one is an option i have to use. with work and cash more stable and my computer fixed i am just getting around to catching up on my editing and backing up everything. soon i will be up to date and man will that feel great.
I have continued my use of the 580EX speed lights and have been really enjoying shooting location. My quick studio can fit into a huge backpack that i can bike around with.... not including laptop. I would like one more light and some new transievers but when as photographers do we not want more toys? I am having problems with one flash adaption for my stand that broke so i am going to have to get a replacement piece(hopefully one stronger) but that is not a bank buster.
One of the biggest things i am trying to get off the ground is my website. I have a friend that is going to put it together, all i have to do is find the right images and get a domain. If anyone has come across a website that has blown there mind away... i would like the input and ideas to make it as interesting as possible.
well thats the update. i am off to bed. hope to have new images up within the week.
David Davis.

Horribly intrusive watermarks are tacky. If you're concerned about people stealing your photos, don't post them on the internet.
Photography is the simultaneous recognition, in a fraction of a second, of the significance of an event. (HCB)

Or perhaps you were drunk. Either way...Hope your well. You can delete this and I'll delete your absurd comment.

can't a guy just be absurd? sometimes it nice to just throw all sensibilities out the window(just don't open the window in montreal because its damn cold) and be a little absurd.
